Welcome to Journal (the "App"), an AI-based chat app powered by OpenAI that currently supports Telegram. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access and use of the App. By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.
There are no age restrictions for using the App. However, if you are under the age of 13, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the App.
The App is provided for free, but we accept donations to support its development and maintenance. Please note that the pricing model is subject to change at our discretion. Any changes will be communicated to users in advance, and continued use of the App after such changes will constitute your acceptance of the new pricing model.
We collect and store user data, including the content of messages sent and received through the App, for the sole purpose of generating writing and answering questions. We do not share your data with third parties, except for making requests to OpenAI to provide AI-generated content.
The App adheres to OpenAI's content policy, which prohibits harassment, hate speech, explicit content, and other forms of inappropriate behavior. By using the App, you agree to comply with this policy. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates this policy, and to suspend or terminate the accounts of users who engage in such behavior.
Users may terminate their accounts at any time by sending an email to jason@jxnl.co. Upon termination, all data associated with the user's account will be deleted.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the App after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
There are no geographical restrictions on the use of the App. However, you are responsible for complying with all local laws and regulations when using the App.
In no event shall Journal, its affiliates, or its service providers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App is operated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located within that jurisdiction for the purpose of litigating any claim or dispute.
